Opinel N° 08 Carbone - Eichenhain Edition

A classic Opinel N° 8 carbone with a lovely Oak Leaf engraving. We call it the Eichenhain Edition. Only 100 produced. 

The N° 8 is a beautiful size for every day carry. The blade length is 8.5cm, the French beech wood haft is 9cm, and the weight a mere 45g.

The knife has a high carbon XC90 steel blade that is easy to sharpen.

Note, this blade is not stainless steel. As such, it needs a little more care than the stainless steel blades you might be more familiar with. But the extra care needed is minimal (don't let it stay wet) and what you'll get is a blade that adapts to you, like a pair of raw denim jeans. Over time, your blade will acquire an unmistakeable and beautiful patina that reflects its use and your journey together. Take a look at the photos and you'll see what we mean.
